Wallets
No wallet yet? Start here.
A bitcoin wallet is a free app on your phone. You need one to receive bitcoin from a QuickieCoin machine. Pick any of the three below.
Nunchuk
Self-custody
A self-custody wallet that also offers multisig and inheritance planning, for when you want stronger security later.
Strike
Custodial
A simple place to start: Strike holds your bitcoin for you in a full Strike account (you will sign up for one), where you can also buy and sell bitcoin and send money over Lightning.
In Strike, tap Receive and choose the on-chain bitcoin address, not Lightning. The machine needs an on-chain address.
BlueWallet
Self-custody
A simple, open-source wallet. Your keys stay on your device.
How to use it at the machine
- Install a wallet from the links above and open it.
- Tap Receive. The wallet shows a QR code.
- Hold that QR code up to the scanner on the QuickieCoin machine.
Setting up a wallet takes longer than the machine's 60-second scan window. Take your time. When your wallet is ready, go back to the machine and tap Buy Bitcoin to start again.
